Police determine reported shots fired were fireworks

Columbia Police responded to a shots fired call near the intersection of Providence Road and Stewart Road. Police officers determined that the sounds were from fireworks and that no shots were fired. The area remains safe. MU Alert will be updated if any further information is gathered.
