Reports of Shots Fired

MUPD reports no evidence to indicate any current threat to campus. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 882-7201. Police officers will continue the investigation.

11:19 p.m.

Following a preliminary investigation, MUPD officers have confirmed that two shots were fired on campus near Traditions Plaza. No injuries have been reported, and MUPD continues to investigate the situation. There is no current threat to campus.

Police are searching for a suspect who is described as black male with dreadlocks, 5’7”, 160 pounds, and wearing a white shirt. He was last seen driving a white, four door vehicle, with a partial license plate of W93 Z.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact MUPD at 882-7201.

University of Missouri Police are aware that there are unconfirmed reports of shots fired on campus and are currently investigating the situation. Officers are on scene at Traditions Plaza investigating the report. There is no indication of a current threat to campus.
