Bomb Threat at Mizzou Rec

The search of the Mizzou Recreation Center has ended. No explosive device was found. The investigation into the source of the threat will continue. Campus has resumed normal operations.

11:10 p.m.

The search of the Mizzou Recreation Center continues. It is obviously a very large complex and it takes time to conduct searches of this nature. No explosive device has been found at this point. As a continued precaution, please stay clear of the building and immediate area.

10:35 p.m.

The search of the Mizzou Recreation Center continues as indicated and there is still nothing to indicate there is an explosive device in the building. As a continued precaution, please stay clear of the building and immediate area.

10:20 p.m.

The Recreation Center is still being searched by emergency personnel and an explosive K9 Team. There is still nothing to indicate there is an explosive device in the building. As a precaution, please stay clear of the building and immediate surrounding area.

10:10 p.m.

At this point, there is nothing to indicate that there is an actual device or credible threat. However, all precautions are being taken and the building is still being searched.

9:55 p.m.

MUPD has received an anonymous report of a bomb threat to the Mizzou Recreation Center. As a precaution, the building has been evacuated and MUPD officers and an explosive K9 team will be checking the building. Please stay clear of the area of the Recreation Center and immediately surrounding areas.
